Laurel Park cancels Jan. 17 card
Snow, rain, and freezing temperatures battered Maryland Sunday evening and overnight, and as a result, the Maryland Jockey Club made a late-breaking decision to cancel its scheduled card for Monday, January 17.
- Margie’s Intention scores in delayed Black-Eyed SusanMaking her first start in Brad Cox’s barn, Margie’s Intention jumped up from Louisiana-bred company to win the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan at PImlico.
Four races on the Monday card are being brought back as extras for Saturday, January 22. Those four are today’s third, fifth, sixth, and seventh. Those are a $5,000 claimer, a $12,500 claimer, a starter/optional claimer, and a first-level allowance. All are for older runners.
