In the Saturday opener, a two-turn maiden $12,500 claiming event for state-breds, #3 Champster (3-1) finally exits maiden special weight company for ninth lifetime start for trainer Joe Stehr and owner-breeder Vicki Stehr and could garner diploma in this spot. #8 Kid Genius (9-5) was second in first try at this level last out for trainer Larry Curtis and looms the likely favorite in this group. #5 Salty J J (4-1) has been on the board twice at this level recently and merits respect here for trainer Ronney Brown. #6 Cayatano (9-2) has also displayed promise against maiden claiming foes and cannot be overlooked in this spot.

In this two-turn event for $5,000 claimers, #3 Quad Eights (3-1) seeks second straight for trainer Mike Jones, Jr. and formful conclusion to early daily double. #6 Goofy Boy (5-2) was solid second in last outing and makes 20th start of busy 2021 campaign. #13 Voltamour (8-5) returns after two tries at Laurel and merits respect if he draws in off the AE list for trainer Kieron Magee. #7 Sing a Verse (9-2) was good fourth last out over the strip and makes 16th attempt for first seasonal score.

In this one-turn maiden claiming event for two-year-old fillies, #9 Awesome Incentive (7-2) makes second start at the level after exiting maiden special weight company and gets favorable outside draw here for owner-breeder-trainer John McKee. #7 Uptown Belle (3-1) was solid second at this level last out and merits respect here for trainer and former jockey Keturah Obed-Letts. #2 Bipartisan Brooke (9-2) was fourth at this level after leaving maiden special weight company for trainer Anthony Farrior. #1 Bantam Rooster (5-1) makes local bow off career debut against maiden claimers at Laurel and looks to overcome rail draw.

In this one-turn event for $5,000 claimers, #8 Urkillingmebeth (6-1) won two back and could atone for fourth-place effort last out with favorable outside draw for trainer David Walters. #3 Netti Girl (9-2) was good second in lone previous try over the strip and returns from Laurel for owner-trainer Courtney Young. #2 Make It a Double (6-5) won last out over the strip for trainer Anthony Farrior and seeks repeat as likely odds-on choice in this spot. #7 Damisela (20-1) was good second last out and could round out several gimmicks at a generous price for owner-trainer Donovan Raymond.

In this two-turn event for maiden $12,500 claimers, #2 Transfer the Funds (3-1) makes local debut and seeks to graduate in 14th lifetime try for trainer Rick Buckley. #3 Let Us Make Gold (9-5) also makes local debut after facing maiden claimers at Laurel and merits respect as the likely favorite here for trainer Charles Frock. #5 Fashionable (9-2) returns to maiden claiming ranks and looms a genuine threat to prevail in this spot for trainer Javier Contreras. #6 Artie Chiller (6-1) exits pair of maiden special weight events at Penn National for trainer Flint Stites and could forge mild upset here.

in this one-turn allowance for state-breds, #4 Hopping Henry (3-1) is still looking to regain stakes-winning juvenile form for trainer Michael Sterling and may have found ideal spot to do so. #7 Charitably Gifted (6-1) has been second and third in two tries against winners since graduating for trainer Javier Contreras and gets favorable outside draw for potential upset. #6 Remys Showtime (6-1) has spent much of the year chasing win at this level and gets another chance to trainer Tim Grams. #1 Nocashrefunds (4-1) was good second against similar last out and merits respect here for trainer M. Joanna Boggs despite rail draw.

In this one-turn allowance dash for two-year-olds, #4 Run to Daylight (5-2) is unbeaten over the strip and looks to rebound from seventh in Lewis at Laurel Park last out and regain winning ways in salty open event for trainer Jeff Runco. #2 Baytown Frosty (8-5) was sharp winner in local debut last out for trainer Paul McEntee and looms the likely choice to repeat here. #3 Determined Kingdom (4-1) arrives off allowance win at Laurel for trainer Phil Schoenthal and certainly merits respect in this spot. #5 Dontcrossfuzzy (6-1) has won last two at Laurel and rates a genuine threat while moving up to allowance company.

RACE 8

In the Saturday night finale, a one-turn dash for $5,000 claimers, #9 Kyle (9-2) won last out for trainer Jack Hurley and gets the nod to repeat here at a decent price. #7 Alltheway to Cairo (7-2) exits a trio of tougher starter allowance events and looms the tepid choice in this spot for owner-trainer Richard Hummer. #3 That’s History (4-1) returns from two starts against starter foes at Mountaineer Park and certainly merits respect here for trainer Kevin Patterson. #1 G Daddy (5-1) has been second and third since win three starts back and gives Patterson outside chance to run one-two here.
