MEADOWLANDS TURF MEET TO KICK OFF OCTOBER 1

A seven-day Monmouth-at-Meadowlands Thoroughbred meet, featuring all turf racing, will span the month of October starting Friday, Oct. 1, it was announced today.
First race post time will be 7 p.m. for the six-race programs at the East Rutherford facility.
- Tale of two races for Mischief in Motion, Soleil VolantMischief in Motion controlled a very slow pace in the Christiana. Soleil Volant ralled furiously in the Kent. Both won Saturday stakes at Delaware Park.
Live racing will be conducted on Friday and Saturday the first two weeks of the month, on Oct. 1 and 2 and Oct. 8 and 9.
There will also be live racing on Friday, Oct. 15, and on the final two Saturdays of the month – Oct. 23 and 30.
The dates are pending approval by the New Jersey Racing Commission during its next scheduled meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
The final day of the 55-day Monmouth Park meet is Sunday, Sept. 26.
