Delaware: End of meet showcase to provide homes for retiring runners

Delaware Park, the Delaware Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (DTHA), CANTER USA Delaware and Mid-Atlantic Horse Rescue are teaming up to host the “End of Meet Showcase.”

Delaware Park horses retiring from racing will be presented and offered for sale to the public, with all sales negotiated directly between buyer and seller. More than 25 Thoroughbreds, Arabians, and lead ponies will be showcased.

The event will take place Sunday, October 21st, from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. at the receiving barns in the stable area at Delaware Park.  Access will be through Stable Gate (Gate 4) adjacent to the owner/trainer parking lot.
