Nearly $7.5 million worth of horses were claimed in the mid-Atlantic during the fourth quarter of 2014, which ended December 31.

Overall, 688 horses changed hands via the claimbox at Parx Racing, Penn National, Delaware Park (which ran for only part of the period), Laurel Park, and Charles Town.  That meant that the average value of claimed horses was $10,850, while the median was just $8,000.
