Delaware Park picks and analysis: June 11, 2026
- CARRYOVERS: None
- POST TIME: 12:25 P.M.
- NUMBER OF RACES: 9
RACE 1: 4-6-5-3
#4 Laughing Fit didn’t run particularly well last out in first in a couple of months, outdueled on the front end by Miti Fast Flower, who’s also here, but she has early zip and better to run back to… #6 Bottle Rocket’s last couple aren’t great, but they are against better; a return to better form would put her in the mix, and the possibility of a livelier pace would help… #5 Principia plummets out of starter company to the nickel level for the red-hot Ness barn, but the in-and-out recent form and presence of other speed combined with expected short odds doesn’t entice…
RACE 2: 7-1-2-4
#7 Borz is lightly raced enough to have some upside and makes his first start in a new barn having a strong year; has tactical speed to get a trip and well drawn outside in a compact field light on speed… #1 Gonzalo sat a good trip and ran well in latest but was no match for the 3-5 winner; seems to have turned a corner in last couple… #2 Sweet Winner might be speed of the speed and ran too well to lose two back; journeyman Gil, having a productive meet, takes the mount…
RACE 3: 8-4-3-1
#8 Patton’s Tizzy drops to the bottom after an off-color try as the fave in a muddy sprint in his first over the strip; stretches back out to two turns, and any of several of his races on the page would win here… #4 Pierce Elevated made a wide bid to the lead last out before tiring in late stages; both who finished ahead of him are among three next-out winners from that contest… #3 Majestic Tiger was awful in the May 13 tilt that Pierce Elevated exits but ran better when second May 27…
RACE 4: 5-3-2-8
#5 Sun’s Arising ran a pretty credible race on debut when beaten just 2 1/2 lengths for all of it after a bit of a wide journey, and the runner-up returned to graduate next out; note pair of one-mile works in the interim, and good to see rider Gil with the return mount… #3 Thirsted goes out for a hot barn, has generally faced better (and sometimes very competitively), and should be speed of the speed… #2 Win Street probably wins here, and Paco in the irons doesn’t hurt, but it seems notable that very good turf rider Ruiz, aboard for the horse’s last five starts, isn’t named; odds will be short…
RACE 5: 1-11-2-10
#1 Protege ran very well in latest when swinging out for room and surging late to win in a race that’s produced a next-out winner; that group was probably slightly tougher than this one… #11 Guaio has been in good form of late and we’re not too dismayed at his latest when forced to do the dirty work pressing formful repeat winner Just Relax; others may pick up the pressing mantle here, allowing the stalk-and-pounce trip he wants… #2 Spotted Bull, a veteran of 87 starts, had the misfortune of running into red-hot Kerness K in his most recent dirt outing, but there’s no Kerness K here; Hazlewood in the irons a good sign…
RACE 6: 5-9-2-8
A bit of a shot here, but #5 Blame and Fortune makes her first turf start here after a decent enough dirt debut in which she was reluctant to load, then led a ways before tiring in the latter stages; she’s a full sister to Beyond Blame, a Grade 3 winner on the lawn, and she’s showing a work since her debut… #9 Chartist is perhaps the most likely winner, but don’t look for value; she ran OK in her first turf outing at Aqueduct last month, and trainer Clement is 3-for-10 at Delaware with a total of nine in-the-money finishes… #2 Voluntary gets blinkers on as her connex attempt to get her back on her preferred surface; she made a grinding run for third in her debut at Gulfstream but has been less successful on synthetic and dirt in two subsequent outings…
RACE 7: 5-3-4-2
#5 Benji Star absolutely obliterated an allowance field at Charles Town last out but slides in here because the winner’s share was a bit under the $20,000 specified in this condition; ran big three back when second to Maximum Bourbon, who subsequently won a restricted stake at Churchill Downs, and this one should get a good trip with a couple speeds who might hook up… #3 Pride’s Prince has a ton of early foot but has had more trouble finishing and will likely be pushed early by Eastbostonbenny… #4 Eastbostonbenny has done his best work on or near the lead and should be pushing Pride’s Prince early and looking to go by late, but both of those runners exit subpar outings…
RACE 8
If on turf: 9-6-7-1, as #9 Understudy Kitty won a second-level allowance to close his 2025 campaign, and trainer Matz has a good record with a positive ROI off similar layoffs…
If on dirt: 3-6-2-4, as #3 J D Factor has a ton of early speed and has finished second in three of four, including against better…
RACE 9: 4-6-1-3
#4 Classic Ballad makes her second start in the Simone barn and picks up leading rider Paco in the irons; last couple aren’t great, but prior starts fit here, and should get the right trip… #6 The Feisty One was outfooted in latest but won’t be on the stretchout today; can use tactical speed to good effect and has been in pretty solid form… #1 Blue Fashion enters in good form with a win and a second in her last two, but last out she sat a pretty perfect trip and couldn’t seal the deal, and with the rail draw and speed outside her, not sure what the trip looks like…
