RACE 1: CLAIMING $16,000, 3-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES, 5 1/2 FURLONGS
3-7-2-1
The John Salzman-trained pair of #3 Rerun Table (4-5) and #7 Pichu (5-1) are the only multiple winners in the field. The former gets a slight edge from me, as she has abundant early speed and ran a strong second against $40,000 rivals last out. Her stablemate sat a perfect trip off the pace to win her most recent start, and will be right there to take advantage if her barn buddy falters. #2 Genecho (7-2) led almost the whole way and held second against these types last out, in her first try against winners. She might have a hard time holding off Rerun Table in the early stages, and is unproven when she doesn’t establish early control. However, she’s in improving form and could take the necessary step forward.
RACE 2: CLAIMING $12,500 (N/W3L), 4-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 1/16 MILES
4-2-3-1
#4 Ineedyoubabe (3-1) has won her last two starts, including an impressive win against non-winners of two foes last out in a race where she was much closer to the pace than usual. She has by far the best late pace figures in the field, so a similar trip as last time means victory. #2 A Cozy Thing (8-5) ran a strong second at this level two starts back, and hopes for improvement after a sound defeat last out. #3 Hockey (9-2) improved sharply to win going away second off a nine-month layoff last out. She looks poised to assume early control of a race without much speed.
RACE 3: CLAIMING $7,500 (CONDITIONED), 4-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 1/16 MILES
6-5-1-3
#6 Watch Your Tone (5-1) is the only runner in the field to run brisnet figures in the 70s in each of her last three starts. Her only distant defeat as of late came when she was second to a very sharp gate-to-wire winner two starts ago; that isn’t super-likely to happen here. If it does, #5 Missy Boss (3-1) will likely do the honors. She stopped badly after getting pressed on the pace last out, but led almost the whole way and held second two starts ago. A completely loose lead will make her particularly dangerous.#1 Ribbonsinherhair (3-2) overcame a wide trip and was beaten less than a length in her last start against similar. She drew much better here, and her late punch should be more potent as such.
RACE 4: CLAIMING $40,000, 3-YEAR-OLDS, 1 MILE
4-3-5-1
#4 Fowl Mouth (1-1) ran a career-best 84 last out against $25,000 foes in a statement race. He had never run well beyond six furlongs before, but he handled the one-mile distance in that race without much trouble. It shouldn’t be much of an issue here, either. #3 Master Schemer (8-1) broke his maiden at fifth asking last out, rallying from well off the pace to win going away. He’s facing a soft field for this level, and his late kick should be enough to win this. #5 Paul’s Guitar (10-1) was completely flat last out, but battled on the lead and held third against a much better field at this condition two races ago.

RACE 5: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING (N/W2X), 4-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 1/16 MILES
1-4-3-5
#1 Take the Pledge (5-1) ran a strong fourth from well off a slow pace in his first start in 8 ½ months last out. He’ll hope for even a moderate pace to close into; if he gets it, he’ll mow them down. #4 Hagrid’s Flame (1-1) outfinished Take the Pledge for second last out. He took advantage of a fantastic trip and opened up a clear lead in the stretch, but couldn’t fend off the challenge of late-rallying Xcellent Start and finished second. #3 Secret Zipper (9-5) couldn’t make the lead in his last few tries against better and was well-beaten. He should be able to make the front against these, however, and if he does, he could prove tough to reel in.
RACE 6: MAIDEN CLAIMING $25,000, 3-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES, 6 FURLONGS
4-5-6-2
#4 Whimmoffortune (8-1) was no match for odds-on choice My Girl Back Home on debut last out, but ran on about as well as she could and finished a clear-cut second. She’s facing an easier field here and will certainly take advantage of a contested pace. #5 Dolly’s Jolene (3-2) led most of the way and held third last out at Aqueduct. She put in a bullet workout at Fair Hill on Sunday and looks ready for a big effort in her local debut, albeit at a potentially short price.#6 Emma Mermaid (8-1) improved eight points to a 67 second off a seven-money layoff last out, and may well peak at the perfect time.
RACE 7: BEYOND THE WIRE STAKES, 3-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES, 1 MILE
1-5-2-3
The road to the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes continues with this race, named for the Maryland-based aftercare organization. #1 Miss Fulton Gal (6-1) turned in a professional effort to beat winners last out, coming from off the pace to win with a career-best 84. Runner-up Ivy Girl returned to win the Main Line Stakes at Parx next out. #5 Peach Tie (8-5) hasn’t done anything wrong on dirt, with a perfect 5-for-5 record on the surface, including a pair of stakes wins. In her last two starts, she battled for the early lead and shook away to win. She hasn’t gone beyond seven furlongs (unlike Miss Fulton Gal, who won at 1 1/16 miles last out), but there’s nothing about her recent races to suggest that she can’t handle it. #2 Law School (7-5) was second to Peach Tie in the Wide Country Stakes two starts back, then finished a flat third at 1-5 in the Main Line last out. She ran huge races towards the end of her 2-year-old campaign, but has she already seen her best days?
RACE 8: PRIVATE TERMS STAKES, 3-YEAR-OLDS, 1 1/16 MILES
1-4-2-3
The companion stakes race is named for the 1988 Wood Memorial winner, who won the Federico Tesio Stakes earlier that year. #1 Let’s Go Lando (5-2) ran in the mid/upper-90s in his last two starts, including a huge runner-up effort in the Miracle Wood Stakes last out. He gave the winner, Taj Mahal, all he could handle down the stretch in an exciting duel. This one has already won twice at a mile or longer, and looks as if he’s found his best self. #4 Hollywood Import (2-1) has won his last two starts in stakes company, including a determined victory in the Spectacular Bid Stakes in his most recent try. He’s never gone further than a mile, but with his early speed, he’ll at least enable himself to set a fairly slow pace and get his best shot to take them all the way around. #2 Code of Silence (5-1) has great late speed, and although he’s never run this far, he has the look of someone who will appreciate the added ground.
RACE 9: CLAIMING $12,500 (N/W3L), 4-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 1/16 MILES
3-5-1-4
#3 Twice Gold (6-5) has run a 79 in each of his last two starts, including a sharp win against non-winners of two types two races ago. He’ll try to make the front, or sit just off of it, and keep going. #5 Lucked In (7-2) will hope for something a bit more contested. He won’t be anywhere close to the lead, but has great late pace figures and is bound to close well, like he did last out when he lost by less than a length. #1 Strategist (3-1) raced wide and off the pace last out, neither of which he likes to do, and was well-beaten. With a better draw and break, he’s a serious gate-to-wire threat.
