RACE 1: CLAIMING $5,000 (N/W2L), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 1/16 MILES
- #5 – Cloud Forest (9-5): Makes his first start for last year’s leading trainer; a repeat of any of his recent races wins this.
- #1 – Hoppertunity Wu (3-1): He’s never lost against winners; everyone else in here has done so at least four times.
- #3 – Ifeelbadforyouson (5-2): Could sit a good trip just off the early leaders.
RACE 2: MAIDEN CLAIMING $5,000, 3-6-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 1/16 MILES
- #2 – Beastorburden (5-2): Lightly-raced filly gets to face the easiest field she’s ever seen.
- #4 – Map to the Moon (7-5): Her recent figures are best, but hard to take too low a price in a race like this.
- #1 – Sally Girl (12-1): Showed speed first off a long layoff last out and could wire this field if no one else runs their best.
RACE 3: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 4 FURLONGS
- #6 – Sunshine Hazel (3-1): As long as she breaks well, the others will be eating her dust.
- #4 – She’s a Gem (9-2): Looked promising earlier in the year, but then fell off-form; this could be a good spot to reset.
- #5 – Love the Sauce (15-1): She’s shown slow improvement in her last few starts and should at least hang around for a share.
RACE 4: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 MILE
- #4– Looking for Water (5-2): Won two starts ago at Monmouth Park from just off the pace.
- #7 – Genieinabridle (7-5): Her recent figures are best, but she’s been pace-compromised in her last few, and that might happen again here at a low price.
- #3 – Flinny Tin Tin (15-1): She has some speed in a race without much of it, and used it to win on opening day last year; she’ll give you a thrill at a big number if nothing else.
RACE 5: MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT, 3-6-YEAR-OLDS, 6 1/2 FURLONGS
- #5– Liam’s the Great (7-5): Hasn’t raced in over a year, but he showed promise last year and finds a soft field to return in.
- #6– Dats Tap (3-1): The “other” Troy Singh trainee has been in improved form lately on grass.
- #2 – Teddy P (4-1): Rudy Sanchez-Salomon generally doesn’t win with firsters, but this one has some good workouts and is a brother of five winners, including one at first asking
RACE 6: CLAIMING $5,000, 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 6 1/2 FURLONGS
- #4 – Beach Cowboy (9-5): He’s won his last two starts and has lots of early speed.
- #5 – Baron’s Legacy (3-1): Ran a game race second off a nine-month layoff last out at Delaware Park.
- #1 – Pudge Boy Palace (2-1): Didn’t do much against better in his last start, but will be at home against these.
RACE 7: MAIDEN CLAIMING $25,000, 2-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES, 4 FURLONGS
- #6 – Blind Love (3-1): Jerry Robb is always dangerous with 2-year-old first-time starters here.
- #7 – Sapphire Beauty (2-1): Showed glimmers of promise in two starts at Charles Town, going off favored in one of them.
- #2 –Soul Stealer (10-1): Showed speed and faded on debut at Delaware; Maddie Rowland is scheduled to come in for only this ride.
RACE 8: CLAIMING $8,000, 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 MILE
- #1A – Kick Startness (6-5): Both halves of the Ness entry look superior; giving this one the slight edge off a pair of open-length victories.
- #6 – Morning Thoughts (7-2): Finished third to a pair of salty rivals last out, gets Arnaldo Bocachica aboard for the first time.
- #2 – Hay Chief (2-1): Plunges in class after facing much better all year.
RACE 9: MAIDEN CLAIMING $25,000, 2-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES, 4 FURLONGS
- #6– Kuaga (9-2): Ran a career-best race first off a nine-month layoff last out and looks like an upset threat against these.
- #1 – Final Engagement (4-1): Another Robb-trained firster; this one has a bullet workout in her lines.
- #5 – One Hit Wonder (6-1): Will give her the slight nod over the other Anthony Farrior trainee, but both merit respect.
