Northview cuts stallion fees

Northview Stallion Station has announced its 2026 stallion roster, highlighted by a 50% reduction in stud fees for all of its established sires and the addition of multiple graded stakes-winning millionaire Post Time, who will stand his first season for $4,000 live foal stands and nurses.

In a letter to breeders, general manager David Wade said the decision reflects Northview’s commitment to supporting the Mid-Atlantic breeding community amid ongoing financial headwinds in regional markets.

“We at Northview Stallion Station understand the challenges breeders encounter when planning for the upcoming season,” Wade wrote. “To help ease that burden, we are offering 50% reductions on stud fees for our established sires for the 2026 breeding year—while also welcoming an exciting new addition to our roster, Post Time.”

Northview’s 2026 lineup features six stallions other than Post Time: Endorsed ($2,500 stud fee in 2026), Engage ($2,500), First Mondays ($1,000), Galawi ($1,000), Golden Lad ($2,500), and Great Notion, who is already booked full.

Wade emphasized that the initiative is designed to ensure “breeders have every opportunity to thrive,” noting that Northview’s stallions offer a range of desirable traits including speed, stamina, and versatility.

Wade emphasized Northview’s interest in “continuing our shared mission of strengthening Maryland’s breeding industry.”
