RACE 1: CLAIMING $5,000 (CONDITIONED), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 MILE
- #1 – Skip Thru Da Fire (3-1): She was competitive against better earlier this year, including a win in a Maryland-restricted allowance in early April.
- #3– Honor the Truth (7-2): She’s sure to make her presence felt late.
- #2 – Bravo Zulu (6-1): Loves to finish second, but will have a chance to wire them with her sharp early speed.
RACE 2: MAIDEN CLAIMING $5,000, 3-6-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES AND MARES, 1 1/16 MILES
- #3 –Minister (6-1): Got some buzz over the winter at Laurel Park and broke his maiden fourth time out at Delaware Park; he’s the only one in this race who hasn’t lost against winners.
- #5– Brindano (3-1): Adding blinkers and cutting back from one mile should do him some good.
- #6 – Celtic Pride (3-1): Should be sent for speed from the outside post.
RACE 3: MAIDEN CLAIMING $16,000, 3-6-YEAR-OLDS, 4 FURLONGS
- #6 – Dave the Great (6-1): Ran a career-best race going 4 ½ furlongs last out at Charles Town; the shorter the better for him.
- #2 – Beechmont (3-1): Goes first off the Anthony Farrior claim and gets Arnaldo Bocachica in the saddle.
- #1 – Artist Mark (2-1): Drops in for a tag for the first time after a few tries against maiden special weight rivals.
RACE 4: MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT, 2-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES, 4 FURLONGS
- #5– Rerun Table (3-1): She was scratched from her planned debut at Laurel Park in May and finally returns here; has a huge win-early profile.
- #1 – Emma Mermaid (4-1): This one also has a win-early pedigree, and Jerry Robb loves to win with 2-year-olds here.
- #4 – Whatarewedoing (7-5): Brittany Russell trainee makes her fourth career start at her fourth different track; she has the experience edge, but doesn’t promise to offer much value.
RACE 5: STARTER OPTIONAL CLAIMING $25,000, 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 6 1/2 FURLONGS
- #6 – Cloud Without Rain (9-5): He has superior figures, and the addition of blinkers means he’s likely to be sent for speed.
- #3– Daddy Yankee (4-1): Won easily at Colonial Downs last out and is in improved form.
- #7 – Tojo’s Mojo (3-1): Look for him to make a late move and get a share.
RACE 6: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING (N/W2X), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, FILLIES AND MARES, 6 1/2 FURLONGS
- #2 – Kilo Road (7-5): Finished second against a better field at this condition last out.
- #3 – Proud Divi (1-1): The instructions to jockey Carlos Lopez should be simple: send her to the front and keep going.
- #4 – Firstlady Rosalynn (5-1): Didn’t do much first off the Mike Trombetta claim last out, but has shown plenty of ability in the past and is a logical alternative to the top two.
RACE 7: ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING (N/W3X), 3-YEAR-OLDS AND UP, 1 MILE
- #2 – Otello (8-5): He’s got loads of class and a good post draw.
- #4 – Secret Zipper (6-1): Won four in a row over the fall and winter, all of them in gate-to-wire fashion; historically, he’s needed a race off long layoffs, but his early speed can’t be discounted.
- #5 – Holy Synchronicity (12-1): Beat a nice bunch at Charles Town last out and should produce a good late kick.
RACE 8: MAIDEN CLAIMING $5,000, 3-6-YEAR-OLDS, FILLIES AND MARES, 4 FURLONGS
- #6 – Grosse Ille (1-1): She’s shown improvement in her last few starts on grass; now tries dirt for the first time.
- #3 – Reece’s Drama (6-1): The shorter the better for her; today’s distance should be right in her wheelhouse.
- #5 – New York Lights (9-2): She’ll be tough to catch if she can make the early lead without drama.
