We catch up on the latest jockey and trainer statistics from Delaware Park. Who’s hot (and not)?
As the meet goes on, we’ll focus on total wins, added wins (above what odds would have predicted), and percentage of purse earned. In these early weeks, though, our stats will be simpler.

JOCKEY TOP 10 WINS
Jockey Paco Lopez spent a lot of time at Delaware Park this past weekend, and he sure seemed to enjoy it, winning with 9 of 21 mounts, including two stakes on his four-win Saturday… That allowed Lopez to jump from nowhere in the Delaware standings to third by wins… Jaime Rodriguez was 7-for-25 this past week to extend his lead over Julio Hernandez, who went 3-for-16… The only other multiple winner was Irad Ortiz, Jr., who came down from New York for a day and went 3-for-6, including a win in the Delaware Oaks… 15 riders won at least one race…
