- RACES ON CARD: 8
- CARRYOVERS: None
- POST TIME: 12:30 p.m.
RACE 1
5. West Side Girl | In a race full of horses that will be close to the pace, this one should be running on late; has kept better company |
2. Ambitiously Placed | Inclined to forgive latest when wide in return from the bench |
4. Divine Exchange | Has run very well when placed against these sorts |
RACE 2
5. Vino From Ernies | Solid return to action in latest |
3. Chillow | Trainer Ashby wins at a 17% clip with first-time starters and sire Maclean’s Music is above average with debut runners; work tab is OK, and they protect this runner |
4. Saint Devereaux | Sprinting try on the turf was fine, and now gets blinkers on; half-sib Gifted Heart was stakes-placed on the main track |
RACE 3
4. Afraidofthebunny | Easy win last time he raced against similar and gets top local pilot up |
3. Silver Style | Hasn’t tried two turns on the main track since ’22; trainer Moysey clicking at about 18% first off the claim |

RACE 4 – OFF THE TURF
5. Mary Katherine | Breeding suggests dirt should work fine; sire Constitution has better numbers on the main track, and while the dam has been unproductive, her offspring have been as good on the main track as anywhere else |
9. Turbo Millie | Broke her maiden in an off-the-turf contest |
10. Singleberylbourbon | Tired in the final furlong in most recent dirt try, but that was her first following a seven-month layoff |
RACE 5
9. Jayjaydee | Has kept good company and when last seen racing starter foes won four of seven |
7. Walk Away Joe | Veteran easily beat similar in latest and should sit similar trip |
4. Doin’ittherightway | Delaware lover perhaps foiled by the pace scenario in most recent but has thrived at this level |
RACING NOTES
- The weather took a big chunk out of Wednesday’s card, which saw races come off the turf and a bevy of scratches…
- Horses trained by Gary Capuano ran one-two in a two-year-old maiden special contest in race four. Bangkok Bob got the mild upset over favored Sacred Thunder, winning by a half-length at 3-1 odds. Ederik Robles was aboard Bangkok Bob, who is owned by Rose Petal Stable LLC. Sacred Thunder, owned by John Hazard, has now finished second in all three of his starts…
RACE 6 – OFF THE TURF
8. Respectfully | Trainer Ness has this one and #10 in here, though we’re not sure he intends to run both; this one’s drawn outside the other speed and should be able to work out a good trip under leading rider Rodriguez; a repeat of recent efforts would do the trick |
11. Makemebelieve | Middle move in latest and willing throughout despite wide journey; show horse returned to win back on the grass |
1. Mo Tough | Sharp score in first off the Simone claim; rail draw makes it likely she’ll gun for the lead |
10. Peyton Elizabeth | The other Ness runner, this one’s an MTO; easy score in latest and plenty capable of winning here, especially if her stablemate doesn’t post |
RACE 7
1. Take a Hint | Speedy sort returns from freshening for a barn thriving at DEL; flashy worktab with almost nothing but bullets, and this guy loves DEL — never worse than third here in seven tries |
4. Disco Ball | Some stuff is going on with this veteran — barn changes, cross-country ships, voided claims — but he keeps running good races |
5. Don’t Wait Up | OK try in latest versus similar and has better to run back to |
RACE 8
5. Golden Al | Was the only horse up with the pace to stay on two back and followed up with another good try when chasing loose leader; could be ready to graduate here |
2. Heavy Equipment | The lengthy layoff and plummet from special weight company after one credible outing have to give you pause, but if he can locate any part of what he showed on debut, it could be enough here |
6. Storm Cat Eyes | OK tries versus similar |
