WATCH: First win for jock Darwin Rodriguez

Apprentice jockey Darwin Rodriguez recorded the first victory of his young career May 31st at Delaware Park. Rodriguez piloted six-year-old Mission Key to a front-running, six-length score in the fourth race, a $12,500 never-won-two claiming race.

Mission Key is trained and owned by Ramon Aguayo and now has two wins from 15 lifetime outings. The win for Rodriguez came in just his sixth career start. Later on the card, he finished third aboard Luck Be A Lady Tonight for trainer Cesar Nambo. After the win, Rodriguez received the customary initiation into the professional jockey ranks.
