RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 3 | 5-4-3-2 | #5 Bossman Jones (3-1): Was third last out versus similar behind next out winner Practical Coach. Has the ability to take it gate to wire for top trainer John Servis. #4 The Honorable One (2-1): He was second last start in the same race as top pick. Needs to run that race back to get a major share. Has the ability but is an unlucky sort. #3 Oiler (7-2): Was claimed last out for $30,000 at Churchill Downs. Fits well with these and has the speed to upset top pick. Scott Lake is 18% first off the claim In a competitive race. #2 Eloquist (9-2): Been away since February when he was in the G3 Holy Bull. He is getting major class relief today and works say he is ready to earn a share. |
Race 9 | 2-3-1-7 | #2 Exit Right (6-5): Won seven out of his last eight races racing mostly with the same. Has the speed to go gate to wire to make it 3 in a row. Trainer Jamie Ness is 30% when he won his last race, and this one looks hard to beat at a short price. #3 Royal Coup (5-1): Returns from Monmouth Park where he faced state-bred allowance foes in last. Can lay close to top pick for a major share for trainer Penny Pearce. #1 Hidden Promise (9-2): Was third with same sprinting last out and stretches back to a route in third off the bench. Needs the trip to earn a share. #7 Double the Heart (6-1): Competitive with cheaper at Monmouth in last couple, has the speed to be a player with these in a race full of speed. |
