Carryovers: None Notes: Main track fast, turf firm

Race #1 Picks: 6-7-5-8

Race #2 Picks: 3-2-4-1

Race #3 Picks: 3-5-4-2

Race #4 Picks: 6-2-3-7

Race #5 Picks: 8-10-5-7

Race #6 Picks: 1A-5-2-9

In this $8,000 claiming race for fillies and mares N2L at 5 ½ furlongs, #1A Tizita (2-1) ran well in her last against $20,000 claimers. She got involved in an early speed duel in that race but should be able to get the lead today and should improve in her third race.  She will be looking to lead the field gate to wire. #5 Cherokee Party (5-1) is an improving 3YO who still has not run her best race. After a couple of even efforts, we think she might run her lifetime best today. #2B Bellswillberinging (4-1) is often competitive but seldom wins. We expect that to continue today but think she has a good chance for a minor award. #9 El Milagra (8-1) won in her first try at Delaware after struggling at other tracks. Perhaps she enjoys the Delaware racing surface.

Race #7 Picks: 5-4-8-2

In this $16,000 claiming race for N3L fillies and mares at 1 1/16 miles on the turf, #5 New York Rock Star (5-1) almost won at this level in June and has the best current form of any horse in the race. The last race, which was taken off the turf, can be thrown out. We have her on top today. #4 Come Storming (8-5) is coming back after being away for a year. The large class drop raises some questions, but she should still be able to be competitive with this group even if she isn’t the horse she once was. #8 Miss is Zippy (6-1) has been competitive in turf sprints recently but has not won. She’s now dropping and stretching out, which can sometimes be a powerful combination. #2 Memphis Showboat (7-2) is coming off a 4-month layoff and getting some class relief. Her speed figures say she should be competitive here but she has not had much success on the Delaware turf in previous tries.

Race #8 Picks: 4-7-5-2
