- ARCI urges delay in new HISA rules implementationCiting a court ruling that the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act (HISA) is unconstitutional, ARCI has called for a delay in rules set for Jan. 1.
Nick Hahn will host with support from Frank Vespe. Derby Bill Watson will join each week to provide his handicapping insights and special brand of humor.
“We’re thrilled to have Off to the Races back on the air,” said Frank Vespe, owner and publisher of The Racing Biz, which presents the program. “We’re looking forward to another season filled with great guests, good banter, and plenty of laughs.”
Saturday’s show features Nick Hahn live at Colonial Downs. No one knows Colonial like Nick, and he’ll roam the backside in search of compelling interviews.
Additionally, Delaware Park executive director of racing John Mooney will join the program. Delaware Park hosts the highlight of its meet Saturday with the 85th running of the Grade 2 Delaware Handicap. Also on the card are the Grade 3 Robert Dick Memorial and two other stakes.
Sponsors include the Virginia Thoroughbred Association, Virginia Equine Alliance, Maryland Jockey Club, Charles Town Races, Delaware Park, and others.
“We appreciate our sponsors who support Off to the Races,” Vespe said. “And we especially appreciate all of our listeners.”
