Race #1 Picks: 5-4-3-2

Race #2 Picks: 6-4-1-2

Race #3 Picks: 1A-11-10-3

Race #4 Picks: 5-2-7-6

Race #5 Picks: 2-7-8-12

Race #6 Picks: 3-2-1-5

In this optional claiming/starter allowance for 3-year-olds at one mile on the main track, #3 Rustys Gfivefifty (3-1) just missed in a state-bred allowance in last when he showed early pace and fought hard to the wire. Trainer Claudio Gonzalez is 2-for-4 in a limited sample this meet at Delaware. #2 Kenner (3-1) has been struggling to win his second race at Parx but is getting some class relief today and seems well placed. He should be able to get the lead with this group, and Jaime Rodriguez is great at rating horses on the front end. #1 Teewinot Pass (4-1) won two straight at Churchill Downs and has been claimed out of each. Scott Lake and will try to bring this gelding’s good form to Delaware. #5 Union Fleet (6-1) was impressive while leaving the maiden ranks in a race taken off the turf. He appears to have some talent and could get in the mix.

Race #7 Picks: 8-9-1-4

The $50,000 Peach Blossom Stakes for Delaware Bred or Certified fillies and mares has been taken off the turf. Her last couple haven’t been her best, but if she can find that form – and maybe even if she can’t — #8 Malibu Beauty (7-5) should be a handful here. The Buffum filly is a stakes winner who owns a win over the strip. #9 Murph (7-2) had her best result here last year when she won the Small Wonder with ease. Her last couple of tries aren’t bad, either, albeit both on the grass. She’s a player if she can carry that form back to the main track. Three-year-old #1 Cashing Big Checks (9-2) just missed out on doing that two weeks ago when second a neck in the Lewes over the strip.

Race #8 Picks: 4-1-3-2
