RACE NUMBER | CONTENDERS | COMMENTS |
Race 7 | 1-6-3-5 | #1 Boss Like Beth (7-2): She has been close her last three starts while running with the same. Alert start and experience make her the horse to beat. #6 Abe’s Army (4-1): Works, including bullet 47 2/5 move from the gate June 27, say she is ready. Trainer is 50% with 2-year-olds first out. She was a $70,000 purchase as a yearling. #8 Ice (9-2): Makes first start for trainer Brittany Russell, who is 23% with two-year-olds first out. Her works say she is also ready. #5 Wings of a Song (8-1): Well bred filly makes her second start. Was soundly beaten by top pick on debut, but improvement expected for a major share. |
Race 10 | 3-6-2-1 | #3 Love on Fire (9-2): Eight-year-old mare with earnings over $500,000 has the speed and back class to wire this field. #6 Lula’s Road Runner (3-1): She was second last out just beat a neck with same. She also has back class. #2 Sapphire Royalty (9-5): She beat starters last out, and if she can make an easy lead, she will be the one to beat. #1 Gia’s Fuego (8-1): Excuse her last start. She beat better two starts ago. She likes the lead but can rate and can earn a share at a square price. |
