Flightline leads NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll

Week 17 of the 2022 NTRA Top Three-Year-Old Thoroughbred Poll and the NTRA Top Thoroughbred Poll conducted by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA), covering racing performances through June 19. Voting is conducted by national media.

The Top Thoroughbred poll represents horses competing for Horse of the Year. The Top Thoroughbred Poll concludes on Tuesday, November 8 following the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

Flightline moved to the head of the class after winning his first start of 2022, in the Grade 1 Metropolitan Handicap on the Belmont Stakes undercard. Encountering by far the toughest field he’d ever seen, and experiencing some trouble in the early going, Flightline nevertheless cruised home well clear of his rivals.
