DALE ROMANS FEATURED ON OFF TO THE RACES RADIO
Off to the Races Radio returns Saturday, March 27 with a lively program focused on Thoroughbred racing and breeding from Virginia, the Mid-Atlantic, and around the country.
The weekly radio show, which airs on the ESPN Richmond (VA) family of stations, and is available everywhere via livestreaming, will mark its 22nd season, starting February 13. Terrestrial stations include 99.5 FM, 102.7 FM, and 950 AM through March 27. Starting April 3, the show will move to 106.1 FM.

The show is powered by The Racing Biz and sponsored in part by the Virginia Thoroughbred Association and Virginia Equine Alliance. The program airs each Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It will also be archived on theracingbiz.com and espnrichmond.com.

Featured guests on Saturday include trainer Dale Romans and Josh Pons, president of the Maryland Horse Foundation. Eclipse Award winner Romans has a Preakness win and three Breeders’ Cup victories in his career, and he has three horses entered in major Kentucky Derby preps on Saturday.
Pons, who with his brother Mike owns and operates Country Life Farm, is the president of the Maryland Horse Foundation, which has recently launched a campaign a Library and Education Center.
Also slated to join the show is program regular Darrell Wood and former Colonial Downs on-air handicapper Derby Bill Watson, who’ll be talking Florida Derby. The show is hosted by Nick Hahn with support from Frank Vespe.

The Off to the Races season kicks off February 20 and will extend through the Colonial Downs racing season and into September.
