How’d we do last time at Parx?

RACE NUMBERCONTENDERSCOMMENTS
Race 14-1-2-5Maiden claimers kick off the card, and we’ll give a look to #4 Greenback (5-1). The Paynter gelding is a half to mutliple graded stakes winner and millionairess Marley’s Freedom; he didn’t run all that well last time, finishing third in maiden claiming company here, but it was his first in about seven months, so he has the right to move forward here. His best effort is good enough here… #1 Bucks Are Moving (6-1) didn’t break well last time out, rushed up and tired. It was his career debut, and he showed enough to make you think he’ll graduate soon enough… #2 Stonegate (6-1) makes his first start in about 10 months while dropping into easier company… #5 Don’t Recall (9-2) has been second or third four straight…
Race 88-6-2-1Top choice #8 Always Talking (3-1) is the one they’ll have to catch. The Despite the Odds filly is a speedster who bested similar on the front end last out. She figures to be by her lonesome once again here, but the question is the distance: in her last several tries beyond 5 1/2 furlongs, she’s led early but ceded ground late, so be wary of short odds… #6 Stormbeam (4-1) beat similar five back but is working on a four-race losing skein. The good news is that she gave evidence last out that she might be ready to move back to better form; she was dropping out of contention mid-race before finding more and rallying for the show… #2 Love on Fire (7-2) has been one-two in four straight versus similar and should contend here… #1 Stabilize (5-1) didn’t run terribly last out when jumped up from low-level claiming company to this starter level in first try in the Englehart barn…
