Parx Racing has a 10-race card on tap for this afternoon. Post time for the opener is 12:25 p.m., and we’ve got Parx picks.

How’d we do last time at Parx?

RACE NUMBERCONTENDERSCOMMENTS
Race 38-2x-6-4Top choice #8 Vino Y Queso (4-1) showed good speed on debut to lead for most of the way before tiring late, which allowed both the speed rival she’d seemed to defeat and the closer Salt Plage to go on by, the latter getting the money. Still, it was a more than credible debut, and she can improve today… The a.m. favorite here is the 2x Dr B (2-1), who makes her debut for trainer Butch Reid. The Liam’s Map filly is a half to two first-out winners and has been training forwardly… #6 Charge Through (3-1) pressed Vino Y Queso and then came again for second last time out, while beaten by Salt Plage. It was a solid improvement in her second start… #4 Liam’s Lady (12-1) didn’t show much on debut (in the same race as Vino Y Queso and Charge Through) but let’s give her another crack: she was bumped hard leaving the gate, knocking her hind end sideways. She can run better today…
Race 58-5-2-4Hard to hate on #8 Beautiful Grace (9-5) in this two-year-old allowance contest. The Jamie Ness trainee thrashed similar last out and has won three of four, her lone recent defeat having come in a stake on the synthetic at Presque Isle. She should be on the lead or pressing from the get-go… Let’s give another crack to #5 Aegean Sea (5-1), who was up the track last out against our top choice after making a bit of a middle move despite encountering some traffic. She went off at 2-1 that day gets Lasix on today… #2 Dauntless Gal (9-2) rallied nicely for second, albeit well behind the top choice. Her caused would get a big boost if one or more rivals keep the favorite company early… Nice step forward to graduate last out for #4 Blissful Behavior (8-1), who needs to move forward again here to contend. It’ll be her second start with Lasix, and the show horse from her last graduated next out…
