#5 Owendale (10-1)

Why he COULD win the Preakness: Convincing winner of the G3 Lexington Stakes at Keeneland in latest outing, which exonerates him from the worst effort of his 8-race career when finishing 8th by 10-lengths in the G2 Risen Star at Fairgrounds. If he can take another step forward while stretching out another quarter of a mile, which he’s capable based on his bloodlines, he’ll give his backers something to cheer about if they see him rallying in mid-stretch.

Why he SHOULD NOT be able to win the Preakness: Tried to jump on the Derby Trail but failed miserably in February. His resume’ indicates he falls short of competing at this level. For example, he was trounced by War of Will (#1 in this field) and last year ran behind Everfast (#10) who is the longest Morning Line odds at 50-1.
