#2 Seeking Unity was the only horse in latest (and one of the few on a relatively speed-friendly day) making up ground in the latter half of the race, gets JRod up… #7 Knox has been first or second in three of four… #3 Midnight Onyx fits with these however you slice it, but he sure got a dream trip last out; can he get that trip again?

RACE 2: 1-7-3-2

We’ll take a swing against favored #3 Anderman, who just missed at a slightly higher level two back but last out did not run very well versus better; his best probably wins here, though… #1 Sharon’s Prince doesn’t win much, so demand value, but he’s been in the money 13 of 17 at the trip and should be running late… #7 Good News Rocket had a tough one last time when breaking slowly before moving up a bit mid-race…

#7 Daddy Moneybags ran pretty well on debut before tiring in the late stages and had a sharp work in the interim; no reason he can’t graduate here… #1 Mi Corazoncito made his debut in the Dover Stakes, which seems like an endorsement of his talent level despite a sixth-place finish; Gallegos barn having a good meet… #3 Jersey Corn makes his career bow for a Pino barn that has a good record with debut runners; sire Corniche is off to a fast start…

#1 Double Edge Sword has been red-hot, finishing in the exacta in nine straight against similar; as long as he breaks, he’ll likely be the one they need to catch… #2 Newyearsblockparty left his race at the gate last out — he ultimately had to be loaded from the front without a rider — but his prior runner-up finish to the top choice was very good, and he’s one of the few here probably not gunning for the early lead… #5 Wora and #6 Reverend Moon exit the same race and finished within a neck of each other…
