RACE 1: 5-3-6-2

In a race light on speed — oddly enough for a dash — class dropper #5 Cajunchito and #3 This Is the Life figure to be forwardly placed… #6 Titanio finds his way to the bottom after an even outing against better…

RACE 2: 1-8-3-4

#1 Seven Natty Patty has been the beaten favorite in three of her last four, which isn’t exactly a recommendation, but on the other hand, she’s been in the money all four; might be sending with the rail draw… #8 Authentic Appeal is making short work of her conditions, shifts into the Cruz barn… #3 Ready to Rocknroll makes her first start in the Hess barn after facing better…

RACE 3: 3-6-2-1

#3 Beautiful Noise graduated last out in her third start; jockey Santaella lands here rather than the trainer’s other runner… #6 Preshow Hype gives trainer Brown a legit shot at the exacta; this’ll be her first one-turn try on a fast track since career bow… #2 Hey Nigh Teen broke out three paths last time out, which didn’t help her chances at all; good break the key…

RACE 4: 7-5-4-1

#7 Chuck Town impressed in two juvenile starts and if right should have too much for these… #5 Direct to Heaven makes his second start in the Rose barn and has been gelded since his latest… #4 Theycallhimgoldie seems to be headed in the right direction, though no one would blame trainer Rideoutt for doing a rain dance, given this guy’s efforts on off tracks…

RACE 5: 6-5-8-4

#6 Ran the Red had a Murphy’s Law race last out: absolutely everything went wrong; owns three wins at the trip, like that trainer Joy claimed her back after losing her a few starts ago, and if she can rediscover her better form, she’ll offer value… #5 Bellofthebluegrass likely gets a good trip outside the other runner with early zip here… #8 Amadora’s Empire makes her first local start after the Farrior claim…

RACE 6: 9-8-6-4

Stakes winner #9 Gurney Halleck hasn’t quite delivered on his initial promise, but maybe getting his first win since last September will be the wakeup call he needed… #8 Musical Standard arrives off a win and should be likely in the first flight chasing ultra-speedy #6 Malibu Son, who led most of the way last out but couldn’t quite hold on in a race in which the top seven all were within 1 1/2 lengths; should lead early but is winless in three two-turn tries…

RACE 7: 7-3-1-9

#7 Johanna saw a three-race heater snapped last out but no shame in being second (even a distant second) to the very talented At a Premium; might be main speed, too… #3 Jeannette the Jet gives Runco barn a shot at the exacta in third start off the bench… #1 Over the Bull has occasional big outings…

RACE 8: 3-1-5-6

This is a race that pretty much any of these could win, so look for a price and hope for the best… #3 New York Lights stretches back to two turns for the first time since last October and had one of her best outings the race prior to that; fits here and at a possibly enticing price… #1 Up On the Rock showed speed before backing out in her dirt debut… #5 Justice You Say has the occasional decent outing…
