Delaware Park picks and analysis: August 15, 2026

  • CARRYOVERS: None
  • POST TIME: 12:20 P.M.
  • NUMBER OF RACES: 8

RACE 1: 2-1-3-4

#2 Centra drops into the claiming ranks for her second career start after catching rocket ship Cha Cha Baby in her debut; doubtful that there’s anything like that here… #1 Royal Mist was willing in latest but not quite good enough.. #3 South Street Sally makes her bow and is from the first crop of G1 winner Cyberknife… #4 It’s the Law Baby ran better than it looks with a troubled trip last out…

RACE 2: 4-1-6-3

#4 Drink This Cup gets blinkers on and probably is the speediest of the speed regardless; should get a perfect trip on the lead or just off it… #1 Onyx Ten has all kinds of back class, including three stakes wins last year as a sophomore, but we don’t love her last couple of outings; a return to best would win here… #6 Missy Sixtysix figures to be running late…

RACE 3: 10-4-7-8

Note that this is an amateur riders’ race… #10 Starmetal drops again off another acceptable outing with a bit of trouble; should have something to say in this one if the rider can negotiate a trip from the outside… #4 Daw Samaa shifts into the Ness barn and finds his lowest level on turf to date… #7 Putter Man makes his debut for trainer Tim Woolley and has two siblings who won first out…

RACE 4: 5-4-2-3

#5 For the Ladies has run a bunch of good races and looks likely to be loose on the lead; first in the Nazario barn… #4 Java Tales arrives in good form, including a win last out in a Penn allowance… #2 Wise Miss faced better last out and makes her second start off a bit of a freshening…

RACE 5: 6-4-5-8

Maiden claimers on the turf… #6 Hotter Than Fire hasn’t had the best of trips in either of her two pretty acceptable turf starts; rider Chuan lands here in lieu of the other Ness runner… #4 Seger Songs takes a double drop and ends her two-race experiment with blinkers; trainer Brion is 5-for-25 on similar drops with maiden claimers… #5 Tiz Complex returns to preferred surface for a barn winning at 26% for the meet… #11 Molly the Great is worth a look if drawing in…

RACE 6: 7-5-2-6

#7 Plausible Denile fits well with these, bested similar last out and two back was competitive against win machine Kerness K; should get a good trip outside… #5 Wora had no chance last out and was declared a non-starter after being in the starter’s grasp when the gates opened; dirtied up form for a barn clicking at 21% this year… #2 Reverend Moon packed it in in the final furlong last out but won’t have to contend with Double Edge Sword in here…

RACE 7: 7-4-2-3

In another maiden claimer on the turf, #7 Baltic drops after a couple of good tries versus better; trainer Lynch is 5-for-10 with this type of move… #4 House of David certainly hasn’t lived up to the $425k auction price but still owns the right to improve in his second off the bench and third career outing; latest wasn’t terrible… #2 Quamash might be the one they have to catch… #3 Andolin has typically gone to the lead and faltered going long but won’t likely be in front in this dash… Among the AEs, keep an eye on #10 Repurpose if drawing in…

RACE 8: 6-1-4-2

#6 Bulle Babe has run pretty well in both sprint starts, and the winner of latest came right back to repeat; should be up close early… #1 Citified graduated in her first local try and first in the Bryant barn in a race that’s produced a next-out winner… #4 Golden Sovereign shifts into the Pino barn off a bit of a clunker in latest; connex skipped a Friday spot for this one…
