Delaware Park picks and analysis: July 11, 2026

  • CARRYOVERS: None
  • POST TIME: 12:20 P.M.
  • NUMBER OF RACES: 8

RACE 1: 5-6-7-3

Trainer Corrales has tilted at some windmills with #5 Kitty’s Son, who nevertheless keeps running pretty good races; just missed two back against similar at Laurel, mounting a rail rally that was topped by another rallying rival; repeat of several recent races would win… #6 Hephepcutdownnets graduated against special weight company, though that was back in November, and has since kept better company than these; lands in likely spot for second off the bench… #7 Migratory gave an improved account of himself last out when second, and if he is able to cycle back to better form, he’ll have something to say about this one…

RACE 2: 5-4-2-1

When #5 Twelve Nelson has run poorly in recent outings, he’s been drawn inside other speed and cooked battling for the lead; when he’s run well, he’s been outside the other speed, and today, he’s on the far outside… #4 Battle Warrior’s dirt form has been pretty consistent, and he should be forwardly placed early… #2 Good News Rocket wheels back on shortish rest…

RACE 3: 3-6-2-5

#3 Band Camp makes his third start off the bench for a Eubanks barn that scored Friday at Delaware; in his first two starts of the cycle, he caught two of the hottest horses on the grounds at Laurel in Wickeddivine, who’d won three straight and then ran third in the De Francis Dash, and Suremeanttoobe, who turned right around and knocked down a Colonial Downs track record next out… #6 Take a Hint won the battle but lost the war last time out when All the Hardways slipped through on the rail to overhaul this one, but do note All the Hardways had finished well behind Band Camp in that June 14 race…#2 Bourbon Music makes his first start in over two years, so your guess is as good as mine…

RACE 4: 2-1-5-4

#2 Dewey Doit makes her first start off the claim for leading trainer Ness and exits an unsightly outing, but she shows a zippy work in the interim, has better to run back to, and should get a lively pace up front… #1 Immortallove made her two most recent starts in third-level allowance company at Tampa, leading in both before tiring late; could lead again here, but may have company… #5 Takemybourbonneat ships down from Fort Erie for ridiculously high-percentage trainer Anthony Adamo (57% this year, 37% for the last five), who hasn’t started a horse in Delaware in at least five years; gotta be intrigued, no?

RACE 5: OFF THE TURF

PICKS: 11-3-7-2

RACE 6: 3-7-5-2

#3 Plausible Denile ran a solid race last out in his first in nearly three months, though his rallying style often leaves him coming up just short; trainer Compton is 22% second off the bench… Like Plausible Denile, #7 Just Relax will be happy not to see win machine Kerness K in here, as he’s won his last three starts when not facing that runner; but he’s been a busy guy, and you wonder if that may have started to catch up to him when he was an uninspired fifth last out… #5 Cyberbeast should be speed of the speed in here, but then again, he was last time, too, when leading early before settling for third…

RACE 7: OFF THE TURF

PICKS: 1-3-5-8

RACE 8: 7-6-3-1

#7 Crazy Miles ran credibly on debut versus better and skipped a Friday contest in which he was 3-2 to await this spot; should be tough to deny… #6 Mister Chill didn’t run badly when fourth last out in his first of the season; the winner was a 3-5 class dropper, and the place and show horses both graduated in their next starts… #3 Uncle Zeb just missed at this level last out…
