Charles Town picks and analysis: November 29, 2025
Picks and analysis for this evening’s card from Charles Town Races:
- RACES ON CARD: 8
- CARRYOVERS:Â Pick 5, $52,110; Jackpot Pick 6, $38,579
- POST TIME: 7:00 p.m.
RACE 1
| 5. Deadpan | Last couple aren’t great, but this one has better efforts to run back to in second after the Farrior claim; might be speed of the speed |
| 1. Chasing Colton | Was ahead of winner inside the furlong pole in latest but couldn’t seal the deal |
| 2. C R’s Uncle Lino | Late-running sort should be coming at the end, but projected pace scenario doesn’t do him any favors |
RACE 2
| 5. Yankee Doodle Kid | Nice-looking score in latest versus similar; may be able to tuck in and save a bit of ground here, versus last out when hung out wide on both turns |
| 3. Racing Hot Line | Should be running late, and though there are no confirmed front-runners here to guarantee a pace, some of these figure to be forward early and could create a favorable scenario; runner-up from latest knocked down allowance condition next out |
| 7. Full Proof | Should be able to use tactical speed to best effect while breaking from the outside |
RACE 3
| 2. Coach Siggy | Posted a bullet work last week after running a good second while clear of the rest in debut |
| 4. Fiber Rocks | First-timer for the Grams barn is by top local sire Fiber Sonde (16% with 2yo firsters); only sibling won in third career start |
| 5. Seatherny | Decent debut but no match for winner or top choice in here |

RACE 4
| 6. Pay Zone | Returns to CT, where he won versus similar back in August; might be speed of the speed here, but if not, drawn well outside to attain best position from which to use tactical speed |
| 5. Blanches Mule | Keeps churning out pretty good races, and two-back winner Radar Alert returned to win next, while last-out winner Falcon Blue is 2-for-2 over the strip |
| 3. Socially Awkward | Ran well enough behind Radar Alert in latest and drops back in class |
RACE 5
| 11. Complex Cat | Makes first start in Viands barn (18% off the switch) and gets Lasix on for the first time; third start off the bench |
| 1. Aim for the Cork | Last two tries at the trip came against better, including two-back outing in the Dash for Cash; class relief a plus |
| 4. Go Go Prancer | First couple in the Farrior barn have been bland; makes third off the bench here after showing speed and fading going two turns |

RACE 6
| 9. Big Dilemma | Showed little in latest when thrashed at 1-9 odds, but prior form plenty good enough to contend here |
| 2. The Commish | Lightly raced sort has been making short work of his conditions; tries two turns for the first time; runner-up from latest won next |
| 7. Strategist | Churns out good races wherever they spot him |
RACE 7
| 4. Road Minister | This is a competitive group, so keep an eye on the toteboard for value (and clues); first off the claim for 18% Meyers barn and attracts leading rider |
| 2. Magical Surprise | Ran too well to lose in latest when slugging it out with 1-9 Rum N Coke in first two-turn try in 18 months; that race has produced a next-out winner |
| 5. Fortunate Son | Easy winner last out to graduate the way a 4-5 shot should; trainer Brown wins at a 12% clip with last-out maiden winners moving into allowance company |
RACE 8
| 2. Song and a Breeze | Speedy sort drops to lowest level yet after credible try in a race that’s produced four next-out winners; trainer Murdock is 3-for-3 when peeling off the blinkers |
| 11. Quotient | Makes second start in the Gazzier barn and second off the bench, and while this one’s latest was unsightly, prior dirt tries fit here |
| 5. Tolly’s Bourbon | Ran on a bit in later stages in debut after sluggish start, just missing third; improvement quite possible in second career start |
| 1. Citified | Showed good speed in latest |
