Charles Town picks and analysis: November 22, 2025
Picks and analysis for this afternoon’s card from Charles Town Races:
- RACES ON CARD: 8
- CARRYOVERS:Â
- POST TIME: 7:00 p.m.
RACE 1
| 3. Amendment | Whole bunch of changes last out for this one: first in a new barn, first under the lights, first route on the dirt — and it all seemed to catch up with her after a half-mile, when she was suddenly done; we’ll give her one more crack |
| 7. Double Spirit | Two things seem likely: this miss will eventually knock this condition down, and she’ll be overbet when doing it; even-money is pretty aggressive here, but if the rains do arrive, note that she won (and was DQed) on a sloppy track |
| 2. Don’t Call Me Babe | Makes second start in the Farrior barn after showing speed and stopping last out |
RACE 2
| 2. Keep On Coming | Useful return from a two-year (!) break; trainer Allard is 6-for-25 at CT in recent years |
| 5. Head of the Class | Just missed in claiming three-life company in latest; trainer Brown is 6-for-20 with a positive ROI second after the claim and moving into allowance company |
| 1. Bigz’s Cabana Boy | This guy knows one way to do it — right to the front — and the inside post is the shortest way around |
RACE 3
| 2. Gone With the Wyn | There’s a ton of early speed in this race, and this one will be running at the end; usually doesn’t quite get there (13 seconds-thirds versus only four wins), but won’t get a better setup at this level |
| 8. Ran the Red | Drawn outside others with speed and may be able to work out a stalking trip; arrives off a win |
| 4. Neolithica | Ran poorly versus better in latest and Magee barn is ice-cold (4-for-62 last two months), but her better form wins here |

RACE 4
| 5. Gilda’s Girl | Trainer Geralis wins at a 50% clip at CT the last two years, and this mare has two recent wins under the lights |
| 8. Maddie Ten | Might be speed of the speed and can use that to best advantage from outer draw |
| 1. Notiptoni | Rallied nicely to win in latest; kinda feel like the trip is the key for this one, as it seemed like she didn’t love being between runners |
RACE 5
| 4. Overly Critical | Loves to win (12 times in 40 starts) and barely qualifies for the condition |
| 1. Jester’s Song | Looks like the better of the Farrior runners but was shrugged off by 10-1 winner in latest |
| 8. Solomons Gold | Drops from better company after a couple of off-color outings |

RACE 6
| 8. Love to Eat | Figures to be controlling speed, and last time she ran around two turns, she stayed on willingly versus better |
| 6. City Taah | Last was poor but prior form just fine for these |
| 3. Streetcorner | Has been third in three of four tries versus similar |
RACE 7 – West Virginia Futurity
| 3. Yolo Manolo | Impressive debut; the only question is the distance, as this one’s best sibs have thrived around one turn |
| 1. Maskedandmummed | The only stakes winner in the field beat fillies in the Casey Memorial with a solid effort; benefited from missing the troubles two back when favorite whiffed the turn |
| 4. Noble Ruling | On the improve |
RACE 8
| 4. Idiosyncrasies | Sat a good trip off the speed when running second in latest and projects to get that trip once again |
| 9. Culminate | Good effort in latest when winning the speed duel but not quite surviving to win; drawn outside others with early foot today |
| 3. Rocket Science | Horrible outing in first off the claim but cuts back to trip at which he’s won before and drops in class |
