Who is another who has faced better; hoping we can draw a line through latest… #8 Bourbon State rallied smartly on the far outside when most recently at this level and was the only horse from the back to make much of an impact at the end…

RACE 2: 4-2-6-7

#4 Sea Zest hasn’t been the most consistent performer in her brief career, but when she’s good, she’s very good, and her last outing was one of those, a dominant win in which she was never asked for her best; a repeat wins here… #2 Planet Clare is 2-for-2 since switching back into the Brion barn and makes her third start off the bench… #6 Fabia has kept better company and been thisclose to knocking down the N1X condition on multiple previous occasions…

RACE 3: 2-1-5-10

#2 Rylnnslookinglucky graduated nicely last out, zipping to the lead and shrugging off prolonged pressure to draw off; could be main speed once again… #1 Will of Victory didn’t beat much (only one of the dozen had been in the money in her prior start) to graduate but did it nicely; first start in the Lopez barn… #5 Somme River will be running at the end, but you wonder if the pace will be enough to let her unleash to best effect…

RACE 4: 6-7-5-4

#6 Final Engagement arrives off a bland turf outing, but switching back to the main track should help; the maiden score was better than it looked, as she was up close to the pace, and the opening quarter was the fastest one of five dirt sprints contested that day… #7 Flee was claimed by Karin Wagner (2-for-14 first off the claim) after a pair of near-miss seconds… #5 Miss Mo Town posted a front-running score to leave the maiden ranks two back and, like Final Engagement, arrives here off a middling turf outing; might be the one they’re trying to catch…

RACE 5: 11-8-2-5

#11 Freedom Glider should be tough if drawing in off the AE; bested similar last out but DQed after bumping a rival in a race he would have won regardless… #8 Galatown Guy is still learning after just two starts, and you can see that when watching him, but he’s got some talent… #2 Capitaine finished just behind #8 two back…

RACE 6: 8-2-4-3

#8 Mr. Ripple could be well-spotted just off a couple of speeds in this surprisingly rugged first-level allowance; has prior allowance wins at Finger Lakes and just missed in latest local try… #2 Code of Silence didn’t disgrace himself when fourth at 67-1 in the Delaware Derby, and the two to run back from there have both run well, including a next-out winner; you’d like to see him get out of the gate in good order; has kept the right company… #4 Xcellent Start has had a tough time finding spots to run, as most are either too short (at his home base of Charles Town) or too tough (stakes at Laurel and Pimlico); late runner might find this one just right…

RACE 7: 5-7-2-1

#5 I Am I Said led a long way before fading in his North American bow in May, then rallied willingly after a troubled beginning last out at Saratoga; trainer Clement’s runners have been in the money in 13 of 14 starts at Delaware Park… #7 Without has run pretty well but been the beaten favorite in three straight… #2 Persisten’s recent turf form is solid

RACE 8: 1-5-7-3

#1 Spencer Tiara has been in the exacta in five straight outings and might be speed of the speed, which makes the inner rail draw in a short sprint a plus… #5 Great Andrei had a useful enough return to action going 4 1/2 furlongs at CT in her first start since September and can move back towards better form; Robb’s go-to rider Perez lands here rather than #3… #7 Delray will be tough on best and gave a good account of herself last out when chasing 1-9 favorite Kappa Kappa, winner of the 2025 G2 Raven Run at KEE, but her form’s a bit in-and-out and her best outings maybe have come a little farther than this…

RACE 9: 5-7-2-4

Delaware lover #5 Ritabook (13 in-the-money finishes in 16 tries over the strip) easily beat similar last out after winning at this level here three times last year; look for her to be engaged from the jump… #7 Miguel’s Belle chased our top choice to no avail in latest but has finished ahead of #2 Awesome Pic in two recent outings; that rival caught a weak edition of this race to win in latest…
