The Racing Biz launches new podcast series

Maryland Racing Today kicks off this week

The Racing Biz LLC today announced the launch of a new family of podcasts, Midlantic Racing Today.

The podcast series will provide an in-depth look at racing in the Mid-Atlantic region. Currently scheduled are Maryland Racing Today, which kicks off Feb. 12, and Charles Town Races Today, launching April 8. Additional podcast series will be announced as they come online.

Each podcast will feature a hyper-local focus on their respective state’s racing industry. News, handicapping, interviews, and history all will be a part of the picture.

Guests for this week’s launch of Maryland Racing Today will include Kenny Taylor, co-owner of Hall of Famer Xtra Heat, and David Bushey of Bush Racing Stables, which owns General George hopeful Point Dume. Maryland Jockey Club analyst Mackenzie Pfeiffer will join Frank Vespe for this week’s hosting duties.

“We’re excited to announce the arrival of Midlantic Racing Today,” said Frank Vespe, owner and publisher of The Racing Biz. “This will enable us to extend our best-in-class knowledge of the Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred industry to new audiences and provide wrap-around coverage of racing at key tracks to our core constituencies.”

Midlantic Racing Today joins The Racing Biz’s other audio offering, the weekly radio show, Off to the Races Radio. Off to the Races airs weekly on ESPN Richmond (Va.) and ESPN (Harrisonburg) and is available via  livestreaming and archived on www.theracingbiz.com. Off to the Races kicks off its 27th season Feb. 14.

Midlantic Racing Today will be available at www.theracingbiz.com and on a variety of podcast platforms.
