Jose Vargas and Angel Cruz each won twice during Laurel’s truncated racing weekend to lead local riders… The track ran just one day in the face of the winter storm… Eight riders won at least once… Yedsit Hazlewood leads all local riders with eight wins, with Cruz second with five… Four riders, including Vargas, have three wins apiece… Andres Chavez, one of the riders with three wins to date, has 2.11 added wins to lead all local riders… Added wins compares a rider’s actual wins to the number of wins the odds would have predicted, with a positive total meaning the rider had won more races than the odds of his or her mounts suggest…
