Jaime Rodriguez and Jamie Ness continued their dominance at Delaware Park as the 2025 meet concluded on October 18. Rodriguez captured his fifth straight riding title, and Ness earned his 11th consecutive training crown.

Rodriguez finished the meet with 75 wins from 317 mounts, a 24% win rate and more than $2.25 million in earnings. He sealed the title in style with a four-win day on October 15. Julio Hernandez (68 wins) and Martin Chuan (66) completed the top three. Rodriguez, who has since shifted his tack to New York for the winter, credited his success to consistency and teamwork:

“I thank God, my family, and my agent [John Weilbacher]… Everybody gives me the opportunity, and I give 100% to everybody,” he said.

On the training side, Jamie Ness once again set the pace with 72 victories from 200 starts, winning at a 36% clip and registering over $1.55 million in purse earnings. Bruce Kravets (21 wins) and Gary Capuano (19 wins) rounded out the top three.

Ness completed his meet with two wins on October 16, including with Yodel E. A. Who, the 9-year-old veteran who recorded his 21st career victory, and in the feature with California Tiger.

Ness reflected on another record-breaking season.

“Records are made to be broken, right? But it’s nice when you break your own record,” he said. “This is home for me — Delaware Park. I love it here. We had a great meet, great staff, good jockeys, good owners. This is what I love to do. And when, when you love to do something, it’s not a job.”

Ness also credited his team of about 65 employees and his growing homebred program with wife Mandy for fueling their continued success.
