RACE 1
7. Catatumbo | Formful sort has beaten similar and didn’t race badly in latest |
2. Crabcakes N Beer | Into Kravets barn after back-to-back wins |
9. Lookin At Roses | Saw two-race win streak versus similar snapped in latest |
RACE 2
5. Lundi Loot | Easy debut winner gave good account of himself in follow-up behind Probably Dreaming, who’s a step above these |
2. Tough Guy Tony | Sharp score in latest but others have not run well since |
8. Sir Newtons Laws | Solid maiden score over a next-out winner |
RACE 3
5. Fight Fiercely | Ran too well to lose in latest when just failing in late stages after winning tripartite speed duel; might get to sit just off it today when breaking from mid-pack |
1. Alpha Company | Hopes for dry track |
2. Bustin Loose | Just missed in latest at MTH but note that rider from that race jumps to #1 |
RACING NOTES
- Give that man a trophy: Striker Has Dial delivers
- Tale of two races for Mischief in Motion, Soleil Volant
- Dan Ward back for his own DelCap with Majestic Oops
RACE 4
9. Sandpiper Memories | Last couple aren’t good but summer form would win here; might be speed of the speed and drawn outside others with early foot |
8. Vodkatini | Not sure how much she enjoyed the Big T; makes third start off the bench |
2. Shigeko | Voided claim in latest wheels back for cheaper today; 15-length winner two back |
RACE 5 – Off the turf
3. Wyoming Class | His two starts this year are much-improved, and latest has produced two next-out winners from four to run back |
10. Rhythm ‘n Blues | Tough beat in latest when just failing to get to winner in three-horse finish, but none of five to run back has finished in the exacta next out |
4. The Commack Kid | Useful debut on the lawn in a race that produced three next-out winners, but that was back in February; breeding says dirt should work |
RACE 6 – Wilmington Stakes
3. My Buddy B | Comfy win in latest and this guy’s not that far removed from Bold Ruler-winning form; second off the bench |
6. Silver Slugger | Speedy sort dazzled in the Rumson last out, and that starter runner-up finish two back better than it looks: all seven to run back finished in the money with three winners |
8. Ninja Warrior | Might get a good trip off speed if tight enough |
RACE 7 – Off the turf
3. Five a Side | Gets blinkers on; Servis barn has always handled this filly like she’s one they like |
4. Sophie’s Cruiser | Last couple of dirt tries are solid; look for her to be on the engine |
12. Moon Cache | Last couple have gone a bit sideways but has better to run back to |
RACE 8 – Grade 3 Delaware Handicap
4. Majestic Oops | Likely to appreciate return to two turns here; scratched out of Friday’s Beldame to await this spot |
2. Dazzling Move | Draw a line through latest after troubled start and this one has plenty of good races; the one concern: 0-for-4 at the trip; should be in front early |
6. Regaled | Former Laurel-based Sammy Davis trainee has run two good ones since her sale and wheels back on shortish rest following good try behind multiple graded winner Royal Spa |
RACE 9 – Off the turf
12. Santos to Wilson | Speedy sort arrives in good form |
3. California Tiger | Easy winner on turf in latest but DQed; keeps churning out good races on both surfaces |
9. Dylan’s Ruby | Solid efforts |
RACE 10 – Battery Park Stakes
1. Cooke Creek | Recent tries a bit plagued by lack of early foot, while earlier good outings saw him engaged from the get-go; blinkers on today in effort to get back to that |
5. Gould’s Gold | Sitting on a move forward sooner or later |
2. Awesome Aaron | Last couple haven’t been great for G3 Pimlico Special winner but he’s tough on best |
