Photographer Allison Janezic was at Parx Racing yesterday for the big card featuring the Grade 1 Pennsylvania Derby and Grade 1 Cotillion and a bevy of other races (15 in all!).

Here are some of the winners:

  Baeza secures breakthrough win in PA Derby

  Baeza, second or third behind Sovereignty and Journalism in four straight, earned his first Grade 1 win in Saturday’s Pennsylvania Derby.

  Clicquot slurps up Cotillion win

  Clicquot rallied to win the Grade 1 Cotillion Saturday at Parx, upending three Grade 1 winners in the process.

Mad House

Mad House posted a front-running score in the Grade 2 Gallant Bob for 3-year-olds going six furlongs. Paco Lopez was up for trainer David VanWinkle.

Mystic Lake

Mystic Lake, winner of the Misty Bennett Pink Ribbon at Charles Town last month, won for the fourth straight time in Saturday’s Liberty Bell. Tyler Gaffalione was up for Saffie Joseph, Jr.

Nelson Avenue won the Parx Dirt Mile by a half-length. Jorge Abreu trains the seven-time winner, who was ridden by Joel Rosario.

No Bien Ni Mal got his first graded win in his second North American start in the Grade 3 Greenwood Cup at 1 1/2 miles. Joel Rosario was aboard for trainer Paulo Lobo.
