- POST TIME: 12:35 p.m.
RACE 1
4. Muthabir | Tracked down loose leader to graduate, and fourth-place finisher graduated in next |
2. Ifeelbadforyouson | Look for him in front early |
6. Bear Hunt | Easiest group he’s seen on the main track |
RACE 2
4. English Daddy | As one of two speeds here, should work out ideal trip |
1. Guaio | Frequent bridesmaid should be running at the end but may not get enough pace |
3. Boyd’s Band | Drops to appropriate spot |
RACE 3
2. Rob the Rich | Barely qualifies for the condtion, shows the ability to run from on and off the pace, and if you can forgive latest, rates a big shot here |
6. Level Up | Speedy sort is drawn outside other speed types and has plenty of outings good enough to win this |
4. Jacohare | Consistent runner has been right there three straight |

RACE 4
2. Showpiece | Pricey first-timer from the Stidham barn is a half to graded winner Barbados; barn can get ’em to win first out |
5. Elon | 0-for-14 a bit unsightly but last was ok in a race that’s produced three next-out winners to date |
10. Madefromliona | Improved outing in latest when closing well against lesser |
RACE 5
1. Cloud Music | Has been facing better and might be speed of the speed; cutback a plus |
4. It’ll Do | Lost rider in the starting gate in latest but had won two of three prior |
3. Johnnyfrenchfri | Veteran has plenty of good back efforts even if recent outings are bland |
RACING NOTES
- Jockey Kevin Gomez swept the early double, while Alexander Crispin swept the late double. Gomez’ winners were One Improbable ($3.20) for trainer Kenneth Black and Viking Queen ($5.00) for Renaldo Richards. Crispin won aboard Mo Hype ($13.00) for Jerry Robb and Nanisca ($28.00) for Pedro Nazario.
- Friday Surprise was first past the post in the Friday feature, an allowance/optional claimer for three-year-olds, but was disqualified to fourth after nearly putting Hey Big Un into the infield. That elevated Shootersgottashoot ($23.20) to first for jockey Raul Mena and trainer Mario Serey.
RACE 6
8. More Acceleration | Caught a tough group in turf bow that’s already produced three next-out winners from five to run back |
7. Sweet Marie | Just missed in latest |
5. Girl of Faith | Blinkers off and Lasix on for season bow |
RACE 7
4. Graceful Rose | Hoping veteran mare gets the lively pace she needs to run at |
5. Proud Divi | Likely speed of the speed but skipping a condition |
7. Appeal Factor | Wildcard entrant won three straight stakes to start career at Emerald before things went sideways, and she’s made only one start since July 2024; June 3 bullet move seems to have been in company with sophomore allowance winner Drink This Cup |
RACE 8
1. Undalay | Look for rider to put this one on the lead and hope for the best; beat similar two back and last out didn’t miss by much |
4. He’s in Charge | Obviously the most likely winner and one who needs to be on your tickets, but last out was life-and-death to hold off 30-1 shot, so maybe a little vulnerable in this spot at what will be verrryyyy short odds? |
5. Sunset Town | Pretty good form right now |
