We break it down: total wins, percentage of purse money earned, added wins, and, new this week, wins in most recent 50 starts (jockeys) or 25 starts (trainers).

The numbers:

JOCKEY TOP 10 WINS

Angel Cruz (3-for-16) and Denis Araujo (3-for-8) won three each this past week to pace the colony, with Cruz moving into a tie for fourth in wins among all riders here… Araujo, with 12 wins is outside the top 10 by wins… No change among the top 10 this week except for Cruz’s upward move… Five riders — Larry Reynolds, Fredy Peltroche, Gustavo Larrosa, Christian Hiraldo, and Arnaldo Bocachica, won twice… Seven riders with 10 or more starts remain winless…

JOCKEY TOP 10 PERCENTAGE OF PURSE EARNED

The top 10 in percentage of purse earned remain nearly identical, with some slight shifting of the order…

JOCKEY TOP 10 BY ADDED WINS

With his productive week, Angel Cruz narrowed the gap between himself and Victor Rodriguez (0-for-10 during the week) in added wins, comparing a jockey’s actual wins to what the odds of his or her mounts would have predicted… Fredy Peltroche (2-for-6), Gustavo Larrosa (2-for-6), and Grant Whitacre (1-for-2) are all new to the top 10… The full range is 6.82 to (-10.17)…

JOCKEY TOP 10 BY WINS IN THEIR LAST 50 STARTS

This simply looks at the number of wins each jockey has posted in his or her last 50 starts… 25 riders qualify, having made at least 50 starts at the meet…

TRAINERS TOP 10 BY WINS

Tim Grams won with three of seven starters to lead all trainers during the week, while Jeff Runco (2-for-8), Kristy Petty (2-for-5), Javier Contreras (2-for-8), and Ronney Brown (2-for-12) all won twice… Kevin Joy and Kieron Magee each won once during the week to reach seven wins, putting them in the top 10…

TRAINERS TOP 10 BY PERCENTAGE OF PURSE EARNED

Some shuffling of the order of the top 10 but the trainers comprising it remain the same as last week…

TRAINER TOP 10 BY ADDED WINS

With two wins during the week, Jeff Runco expanded his lead in added wins, comparing a trainer’s actual wins to the number that the odds of his or her starters would have predicted… With his good week, Tim Grams moved into the top 10 by added wins, checking in at 10th… The range of all trainers is 9.20 to (-8.16)…

TRAINER TOP 10 BY WINS IN THEIR LAST 25 STARTS

This simply looks at the number of wins each trainer has posted in his or her last 25 starts… 32 trainers have made at least 25 starts at the meet…
