TIME CHANGE FOR SATURDAY’S OFF TO THE RACES RADIO
Off to the Races Radio returns Saturday, July 31 with a lively program focused on Thoroughbred racing and breeding from Virginia, the Mid-Atlantic, and around the country.
Saturday’s program will air one hour later than usual and will begin at 11:00 a.m. EDT.
The weekly radio show, which airs on ESPN Richmond (VA), 106.1 FM and is available everywhere via livestreaming, will mark its 22nd season, starting February 13.

The show is powered by The Racing Biz and sponsored in part by the Virginia Thoroughbred Association and Virginia Equine Alliance. The program airs each Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It will also be archived on theracingbiz.com.

On Saturday’s show, scheduled guests include Jason Beem and Sheldon Russell. Beem is the track announcer at Colonial Downs, as well as a podcast host and author. Russell, a jockey, has enjoyed great success at Colonial Downs and around the Mid-Atlantic and is poised for his 1,500th career win.
Also slated to join the show are Nick Hahn, Darrell Wood, and Derby Bill Watson. Hahn will join the show live from Saratoga. Wood will provide updates and insights on racing and breeding in Virginia, while Derby Bill is the former on-air handicapper for Colonial Downs. The show is hosted by Nick Hahn with support from Frank Vespe.

The Off to the Races season kicks off February 20 and will extend through the Colonial Downs racing season and into September.
