TRUTH TO POWER PODCAST: DIVERSITY IN MEDIA
In this latest podcast episode of Truth to Power, hosts Teresa Genaro and Alicia Hughes welcome Rod Hicks, a veteran reporter and editor currently serving as the director of ethics and diversity at the Society of Professional Journalists, and Sue Finley, owner/publisher of Thoroughbred Daily News.
Our focus is on equity and diversity in media. Why is it important that our reporting and writing come from a variety of voices and backgrounds? Who makes decisions about what gets covered, and how are those decisions made? What can editors and publishers do to recruit and retain journalists of color?
