Back in more manageable company and making her second start of ’21, she ought to be able to run to her best form… Five-year-old #6 Sidereal (6-1) makes her first start of the season here. Her last three of last year were terrible, but all three were rained off the turf. She’ll get back on her preferred surface here, and the thing we like is this: in her last couple going over a mile, she was up close before backing out late. Then, sprinting 5 1/2 furlongs, she came running but too late. Today’s 7 1/2 furlongs might hit her between the eyes… Favored #3 Shoobiedoobydoo (3-1) enters in good form on the main track, owns an allowance win on the lawn… #7 Obstinate (8-1) jumped up in a big way figs-wise last time. Can she carry that form to the turf against better? |
| Race 9 | 9-5-6-8 | Top choice #9 Classified Info (4-1) led a long way before faltering last time against similar and may control this one up front… #5 Call Fitzroy (3-1) closed nicely to win last time in first in Guerrero barn. If the pace heats up, he’ll be heard from late… #6 Masterful Touch (6-1) makes his first start since October, not a promising angle for trainer Chuck Lawrence. But this one had a run a couple of good ones prior to going on the bench and is reasonably spotted here… His last wasn’t good, but #8 Icy Dude (9-2) has competed with similar and can bounce back… |
