From a Maryland State Fair release

Apprentice Jevian Toledo rode four winners on today’s nine race card at Timonium.

Toledo, who celebrated his 19th birthday last week, won his first lifetime race on January 1 in his native Puerto Rico. This afternoon, he picked up a mount for Hassan Elamri in the second race and won with Start the Party ($11). He came back to the winners’ circle after race four with Finally Free ($11) for trainer King Leatherbury and won again for Leatherbury in race five with Baku ($7.20). Two races later, Toledo steered No Conflict ($20.40) to victory for trainer Hubert Cave.

Toledo’s big day marked the second straight day in which one rider won four times; journeyman J.D. Acosta accomplished the feat on Saturday.

Racing continues at the Maryland State Fair on Monday with a first post of 1:05 p.m.
