Post positions for Saturday’s Grade 1 Belmont Stakes were drawn on Wednesday morning, and California Chrome, bidding to become the 12th horse in history to sweep the Triple Crown, drew post number two.  He was installed as the 3-5 morning line favorite.

Only two other horses received single-digit morning line odds.  Wicked Strong, who upset the Grade 1 Wood Memorial at Aqueduct before finishing a troubled fourth in the Kentucky Derby, is 6-1.  And Tonalist, who was an easy winner of the Grade 2 Peter Pan, is 8-1.

Preakness runner-up Ride on Curlin is 12-1, while Kentucky Derby runner-up Commanding Curve is 15-1.
