In her last outing, #4 Lucylou Who (3-1) went straight to the front and romped home six clear of the rest. A repeat of that feels like a distinct possibility for the Mike Geralis trainee, who’s won five of nine starts… #6 Likely Choice (6-1) showed late interest last out at Laurel Park, rallying into the show spot. That was back in November, but trainer Ronney Brown wins at a 17% clip off similar layoffs. This one’s last work was solid, and she may catch somewhat easier company here than she has for most of her career… That was a clunker last out for #1 Elite Speed (12-1), but her prior form would compete with these, and at generous odds we’re inclined to give her another crack…

Top choice #8 College Kid (6-1) has been in just middling form, but she makes her third start off a two-month break here, so a move forward is not out of the question. She’s a speedy sort and drawn outside the other speed players, and if she can get back to the form that saw her compete effectively in state-bred stakes company in the fall, she could be right there at a square price tonight… #3 Sizzling Hot (8-1) graduated last time out in her first try over the strip. She’ll be looking for a stalk-and-pounce type of trip… Leading trainer Anthony Farrior and leading rider Arnaldo Bocachica are winning at a 37% clip at the meet, which means you don’t want to ignore #4 Speak Your Mind (3-1). The question facing her is whether she’ll be able to get to the front in this one-turn dash; her races when she hasn’t made the lead early have not been good… Improved effort in last from #1 Little Bit of That (10-1), whose form last spring would make her a strong favorite here…
