Race #1 Picks: 5-4-6-2
Race #2 Picks: 6-2-1-3
Race #3 Picks: 7-1-2-6
Race #4 Picks: 3-1-6-4
In this $32,000 claiming race for fillies and mares at six furlongs, #3 Spicy Margarita (2-1) ran a big speed figure in last and is being sent out by Laurel Park’s top trainer. When he sends horses to Delaware, they are usually well meant. #1 Lanfrankophile (3-1) looks well placed today. She won her last facing a decent field at Monmouth and should be very competitive in this spot. #6 My Boss is getting class relief today after running with $40,000 claimers at Laurel. She could make an impact today. #4 Justhappy (6-1) is making her second attempt to win after leaving the maiden ranks and should improve today.
Race #5 Picks: 2-11-1-8
Race #6 Picks: 7-2-5-3
In this second-level allowance/$25,000 optional claiming race at 5 1/2 furlongs, #7 Straight Shot (9-5) has had a string of good races in his past performance and very good speed figures. Jorge Delgado very seldom brings horses to Delaware and might be well intentioned here. He will certainly be a top contender today. #2 The King Cheek (8-1) ran well in two graded stakes races last year. Jamie Ness has moved this horse around and has usually found good spots for him. He is coming back from a 7-month layoff, but there is no for sale sign on him today so the connections must still like this gelding. #5 Shacks Way (5-2) has won four straight, including a six-length victory at Delaware in last, and is in excellent form. He will try to take them gate to wire. #3 Rileys Dude (12-1) seldom runs a bad race but looks a notch below the top contenders today.
Race #7 Picks: 13-10-12-2
Race #8 Picks: 6-4-9-2
