Big try last time for #2 Fizbo (6-1), and a repeat of that makes him a handful here. Might have a good trip right off other speed types. The two best tries on the page for #6 Instigated (7-2) came on a wet-fast track, which is what today’s is listed as, and he’s been in the money five of six on off tracks. The only concern for main-track-only entrant #5 Where Paradise Lay (8-5) is the distance: will he be a bit outfooted going 5 furlongs and have too much to do to get the money? Says here that’s likely to be the case. The speedy #10 Great Go Go (12-1) should be involved from the jump.

#11 Loose Ends (5-2) has never been worse than third in seven career outings, and there’s every reason to think that streak continues today. Nice effort last time from #1 Holy Synchronicity (8-1, part of entry) in his first try around two turns; it looks like he may have uncovered what he wants to do. That it’s his first time around two turns makes it hard to take short odds on #2 Trustyourinstinct (9-5), but his resume says you shouldn’t leave him off the ticket entirely. #8 Under the Radar (15-1) fits here.
