Race #2 Picks: 3-2-4-1
Race #3 Picks: 6-4-3-2
Race #4 Picks: 4-2-6-1
Race #5 Picks: 5-3-2-8
Race #6 Picks: 1-5-6-3
In this $44,000 allowance for fillies and mares that have never won three at 6 furlongs, #1 Alayla (9-5) has been on the shelf for almost a year but had won two straight before the break. This filly has been working well at Fair Grounds, and trainer Cathal Lynch can get ‘em ready to win off the bench. #5 Half Is Enough (5-1) is an improving three-year-old who still may not have run her best race. She could still be any sort at this point, and the arrow is definitely pointing up. #6 Wild America (5-2) is a speed burner who usually fades late. She held her speed in her last at Hawthorne but we need to see another race like that at Delaware to endorse her on top against these. #3 Dark Honey (10-1) has competed at this level previously.
Race #7 Picks: 2-3-5-6
In this second-level allowance/$28,000 optional claiming race at one mile and 70 yards on the turf, jockey Ruben Silvera is coming down from Parx to ride #2 Olympic Romp (9-2) for Jamie Ness. We think he will improve off his recent grass effort at Aqueduct and we have him on top today. #3 Be Here (5-2) ran a big race when he tried the claiming ranks for the first time at Belmont in last. We think he will be a top contender at this level at Delaware if he can repeat that race. #5 Sigiloso (9-5) was vanned off in his last and then moved back to his former trainer. He is taking a big class drop but we need to see a race before we go all in on this one. #6 Nathan Detroit (8-1) is a deep closer who will be running late and looking to pick up the pieces if the frontrunners falter.
Race #8 Picks: 7-1-3-2
