Race #1 Picks: 5-1-4-6
Race #2 Picks: 1-5-2-4
Race #3 Picks: 6-2-8-10
Race #4 Picks: 2-5-3-4
Race #5 Picks: 6-7-9-12
In this $16,000 claiming race at 5 furlongs on the turf, #6 Cindy’s Prayer (5-1) won at this level on the turf at Delaware last year. Trainer Cathal Lynch has a respectable record bringing horses back fresh. We like this mare to win today. #7 Kitten’s Covergirl (4-1) was running well in turf sprints at Gulfstream before being switched to the dirt after a one-year layoff. She showed early speed and a return to the grass may help her hold her speed. We think she will be a contender today. If she draws in, which isn’t likely, #12 Opeongo (8-1) was running well at Gulfstream on the dirt. Now back to the turf where she has shown ability in the past. Will compete if she runs her best. #9 Proper Manners (15-1) is usually very game and seldom runs a bad race. She could get a piece of the action with these.
Race #6 Picks: 3-2-1-5
In this $50,000 optional claiming race for 3-year-olds N2L at 6 furlongs, #3 Zen Master (9-2) graduated from the maiden ranks two back then showed early speed in a route on a good track at Laurel last out. We think he will improve off that effort and we have him on top today. Another contender is #2 Capt. Candy (2-1). This PA-bred has lots of early speed and will most likely try to steal the race. If he gets a clear lead, he may not get caught. #1 Under the Radar (8-1) has some ability and is getting Lasix for the first time. He ran a good race last time and any improvement will put him in the mix. #5 Must be Love (3-1) has a few good races under his belt and might get a piece if he runs his best.
Race #7 Picks: 8-2-1-9
Race #8 Picks: 6-8-9-4
