Race #1 Picks: 5-4-1-6
Race #2 Picks: 1-7-3-4
In this starter/optional claiming race at one mile #1 Tate (8-1) just missed in sprint races in his last two. Now he’s stretching out to a mile and looks like he may want the extra distance. His speed figures are competitive and we have him on top today. #7 Artistic Reason (3-1) enjoyed the class drop and almost won in his first try at Delaware in last. He seemed to like the Delaware surface and shows a recent bullet work. If he can improve off last, he will be a top contender. #3 Golden Tone (6-1) improved to graduate from the maiden ranks in last and could get involved if he runs his best. #4 Behemah Star (8-1) ran a 78 figure in last, but the one-mile distance today is a question mark. If he can handle the distance, he could be a threat.
Race #3 Picks: 4-3-6-7
Race #4 Picks: 8-7-3-6
Race #5 Picks: 8-9-1-3
Race #6 Picks: 8-3-9-1
Race #7 Picks: 6-3-8-4
In this $25,000 claiming race for NW3 at six furlongs, even though #6 Heir Port (8-1) has been running with Maryland-bred or -sired horses recently, he still looks like he may have a class edge over these. Five or six furlongs on the dirt seems to be his bread-and-butter, and he will be getting that today. We like him on top. #3 King Nekia (10-1) has been running very well lately. We will throw out his last because he hopped at the gate and got a terrible start. He has been working well in the morning and has a shot with this group. #8 Palatial Times (5-2) has won two of his last three and will be looking to clear another condition today. He is in good form and should be considered. #4 Expensive Style (7-2) very seldom runs a bad race and should be used in all exotic bets.
Race #8 Picks: 3-5-7-4
Race #9 Picks: 2-6-3-8
