Race #3 Picks: 7-8-1-4
Race #4 Picks: 1-7-5-2
Race #5 Picks: 8-2-9-3
Race #6 Picks: 5-2-3-4
In this second-level allowance/optional claiming race for fillies and mares at one mile, #5 Daria’s Angel (7-2) looks the best. She gets claimed often and everybody wants her in their barn. She always puts in a good effort, and if she repeats her recent races, she will be tough to beat. #2 Flight to Shanghai (9-5) was in over her head in last, but was running very well in her previous races. She likes the lead but may not be able to get it from Daria’s Angel and Sammie Sunshine. Still, if she runs her best race she is a contender. #3 Misty Taste (6-1) will lay off the pace, and if the speed falters she will be running late. A chance. #4 Sammie Sunshine (5-2) will try to go gate to wire, but it will be tough with this group. She should get a minor piece of the pie.
Race #7 Picks: 11-1-4-9
In the $16,000 claiming race for NW3 at a mile and 70 yards on the turf #11 Yowza Yowza Yowza (15-1) made a move in last but got caught wide. He should improve with his second start under Mark Shuman’s training. We have him on top today but Angel Suarez needs to get him going a little sooner. #1 Deckology (2-1) has run some good races this year but has had a hard time crossing the wire first. He should be in the mix again today. #4 Captain Thunder (8-1) has run some very good turf races with good speed figures. If he runs one of those races back, he has a shot today. #9 One Two Kid (5-1) has two wins and two seconds in eight lifetime starts but still needs to prove himself on the turf.
Race #8 Picks: 9-8-6-5
