Joe’s Selections

Race #1   Picks:   2-1-6-4

Race #2   Picks:   2-5-4-1

Race #3   Picks:   3-7-1-2

Race #4   Picks:   2-1A-3-5

Race #5   Picks:   8-5-9-10

Race #6   Picks:   8-3-4-5

In this $8000 claiming race for NW3 at one mile and a sixteenth almost any horse could win this wide open affair.  #8 Shoulda Had It (10-1) made a nice move in the slop last time out, but could not catch the winner. If he can repeat that race, he will be very competitive today. #3 Jammin Still (8-1) is dropping to the lowest level of his career. He has not been running well lately, but the drop may wake him up. #4 End All Get All (2-1) was running well at Parx before Anthony Pecoraro reclaimed the training duties. He has a shot with his group. #5 Load Up Moe (3-1) ran a big race here at Delaware two weeks ago. If he can repeat that effort, he will be in the mix.

Race #7   Picks:   9-1-7-4

In the $40,000 first-level allowance for fillies and mares at about seven and a half furlongs on the turf, #9 Traffic Song (8-1) graduated from the maiden ranks with a 74 speed rating at Monmouth. Her next race was taken off the turf at Pimlico and she did not like the mud. She has been idle for 7 weeks but has been working well. We have her on top today. #1 Sally’s Mustang (7-2) made a run in the lane in last but seemed to lack room. If she gets a clear path she has a shot today. We are slightly concerned that she only has a 12-day rest following a mile-and-an-eighth effort, but she came into that race fresh. #7 Inanna’s Quest (12-1) won in her debut effort this year and could improve off that effort. Could be in the mix. #4 Takingtimeoff (6-1) will try to set the pace and will be dangerous if she gets free. Also eligible #13 Woodbine Way (8-1) most likely won’t draw in but should be considered if she does.

Race #8   Picks:   5-6-2-3
